Help with choosing Science topic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

For science, I am writing a research paper, however, we first have to think of a "question" to base out paper on. The question has to be someting interesting that deals with water and our environment for example: Was the Earth completly covered in water before? But I would like to use another question. Any ideas? Please help!

This could possibly counter "global warming."

a toper would be is ice break from Antarctica due to global warming really bad, because we are also entering in the near future the little ice age.
