Help with choosing a paint color for an apartment living room?

I'm moving into a new place and I ended up getting a navy sofa and I really don't want white walls, but I'm not sure what color would really go well with it? Any suggestions would be appreciated, the more specific the better. Thanks!

Since you are in an apartment and can't get too crazy, I would suggest a nice neutral shade like a light coffee/beige color with white trim.  It would go with anything and you could hang some blue/beige drapes to tie it all together.  If you don't have co-ordinating drapes, think about beige with blue tie-backs or vice-versa.
