Help with community service ideas.?

I'm in Interact Club and we're trying to find ideas to help out our community. Any ideas? Original ones please.

Find an elderly person who lives alone near you.  Check on that person.  It can be desperately lonely with no family or friends to help.  We paid someone $250 a month to check on our 88 year old Aunt. /

have a smoke alarm and battery drive at your school. then go around the community and check with the needy and eelderlyabout who needs a smoke alarm. then every month go check them to make sure they work and every six months change the batteries.

it might seem like a lot of work but it can save lives
