Help with computer!!!?

Ok, when I log onto my computer, everything is big. It's like the screen is zoomed in at the top left hand corner of my computer screen. You can see detailed colors of the background and all that. I can only stay at the top left hand corner. I can't move the screen to go to the bottom or anything else. What do I do to make everything go back to normal size? Remember that I can't move to another area on the computer screen.

  1. Learn to use the keyboard.

Hit the button thats between the windows logo and ctrl right

under the Enter key is. Then using the arrows go to properties.

Then use TAB to to navigate. When you first hit properties, hit TAB 4 times to go to the top option. Then use the arrow to navigate to SETTINGS tab on the top. Use the right arrow 4 times.

Then click TAB again to go to the size option. Just just your right arrow to make the resolution bigger.

If you do that step by step and you are using either XP or WIN2K then you should be able to do it.

    Good Luck

  2. hmn... try this... i think the problem is your screen resolution. Follow these steps:

-right click on your desktop then click the "Properties"

-on the Display Properties window find "Settings"

find the "Screen Resolution" and find the best resolution that suits in you computer screen. (mine is 1024 by 768 pixels)

(im not really good in computers... just trying to help... hehe)

  3. Can you get to the start button? and then the control button and then the resolution control.

If not, turn it off and reboot in safe mode with command prompt by pressing F8 at start-up.  When you get to command prompt, you can do a restore to time when it ran ok with the following commands:

    C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe (FOR XP)

    C:\Windows\System32\rstrui.exe (FOR VISTA)

Other posters seem to have a better idea because I right clicked on desktop for Vista and clicked on personalize and got to resolution adjustment

  4. Maybe your resolution is messed up. Try right clicking the desktop and selecting properties and go to settings and move the slider to a better resolution.
