Help with computer security programs?

i have mcafee.

i really like it, but my subscription ran out and it's $70 to renew it.

are there any free and trusted security programs out there?

(antivirus, antispam, etc)

i've heard of pc tools.

should i trust it?

AVG Antivirus and windows defender from microsoft. Skip the pc tools uninstall mcafee.. It sucks.

Threatfire and malware Antimalware are also very effective, I personally use them both
