Help with computers and copying videos to DVD-R?

i've brought some DVD-R and then tried to transfere some videos from my PC to the disc however, it says that it can't do it and i need to put in a writable CD but they don't hold videos. Please help me.

it may be you need a different format eg DVD+R and I assume it is trying to tell you to use rewritable DVD's?

  it is also likely the software you are using may be the culprit and it is simply not recognising your DVD - R disc as a 'proper' disc to write to.

try using a DVD+R an then a rewritable DVD.

failing that  try another software program such as Nero.

  If that fails it is not end of teh world but it does get involved.

    once oyu have tried those do let us all know if it worked or  wheat oyu have tried thus you will get a better response.
