Hi i am planning on going to Seoul in December.

i will be flying from Newcastle (UK) via Paris (Paris De Gaulle? may have spelt wrong) to Seoul (Incheon).

I will be flying with Air France.

I am wondering about connection flight in Paris, my baggage will it automatically go onto to the next flight, or do i have to go and collect my baggage and go through check in again?

Also this will be my first time flying alone (i am 18). will it be easy to find places, like my gate.

And does anyone have any idea if i will have to get a visiting visa? (i am only staying for 1 week).

Thank you !

sorry the question is so long haha

  1. Yes, your baggage should go all the way through. This is especially true since you booked all your flights through Air France. If you had booked a flight to Paris on another carrier, then you may have a problem, but you should be just fine.  Just make sure when you check in and hand over your baggage you tell them your final destination is Seoul.

According to VisaHQ.com, "Citizens of United Kingdom residing in United Kingdom have to apply for a visa to South Korea in person at the nearest consulate of South Korea in United Kingdom."

    Enjoy your trip.

  2. Yes the luggage will only need to be checked in once. So they will automatically send it to your second flight. It should be easy to find the gate because they are all labeled with big numbers. You will collect your luggage once you arrive at your destination.Good Luck. Most koreans are taught english when they are in  high school and middle school so you shouldn't have too much problems asking younger koreans if you have questions. Here is the requirements On  Traveling to South Korea:

    for UK travelers.

Good Luck! I wish I was going there too;)

  3. If they check your bag all the way to Seoul your fine.  If they only check it to France, you'll have to pick it up and recheck it.

  4. A visa is not needed for a tourist visit of up to 3 months for holders of British passports.

It would be best if you contacted Air France for specifics; you might have to collect your bags, though they usually send them on through if you're on the same airline.
