Help with contact lens prescription?

My contact lens prescription is

OD BC:8.4,Dia:14.4,P:+0.25,P_Cyl:-0.75, P_Cyl_Axis:90

OS BC:8.4,Dia: 14.4,P: +2.25,P_Cyl: -0.75, P_Cyl_Axis: 90

It is written for proclear toric lenses. I want color contact which do not come in prolear toric. Do I really need toric? How would my prescription translate to regular contact lenses. There are many options - but not in toric. And the toric ones don't seem to have the same corresponding numbers. Can someone help me? I have been back to this doctor but he only wants to sell me the clear ones...

  1. He only wants to see you the clear ones because they are what is best for your prescription. They make toric disposable contacts, but not in your prescription. They don't come in plus powers (I just double checked on my contact lens distributor's website). If you want colors, your going to compromise your vision and you have to get permission from your doctor. They do make custom toric colored contacts, they are expensive and they are yearly lenses, so if you rip one or lose one, you have no back ups and your out a lot of money. And you would still have to get permission from your doctor. I know you don't want to hear this, but be at peace with your eye color until we come out with new toric colored lenses. I'm sorry.
