We have fresh tomatoes in our garden and they are growing and coming in fast. I am 12 and allowed to use the oven, microwave, stove, etc. I have a dream of opening up my own restaurant when I get older. I would like people to help with this. We can only use common household kitchen items. They must be fast. A maximum of 1 hour (not counting preparation). I want some specific play-by-plays on how to make these food. They don't have to use tomatoes but we do have them. I will give best answer to whoever gives a good name for a restaurant that serves almost everything, at least 2 recipes, and a side dish (vegetables; not cooked; maybe bread). I don't want any spaghetti or pasta sauce because i have that recipe. I would like a salsa recipe but that just a suggestion. If you only have 1 or 2 recipes but they are really good then you might get best answer. i love to cook so please help. I need some recipes.

Suggestions:

♥salsa

♥ceviche

♥vegetable salads (no mayo)

♥any fruit or vegetable drinks (pref. fruit; possibly tomato)

Thanks and I hope I get some good answers.

  1. 1.Saute garlic, then add onions.

    2. Put fresh and sliced tomatoes. that's it!!!

You can serve this with fried fish..

  2. My very, very favorite tomato dish - Caprese salad. I ate it in Rome every day!

Lay some fresh basil leaves on a plate (do you have that in your garden too?)

Slice the tomatoes (wash them first duh)

Top each slice with a slice of fresh mozzarella (the kind from the deli, not the chunk in the regular refrigerated section)

    Drizzle with really good EVOO

Drizzle with really good balsamic vinegar

sprinkle with a bit of salt

    crack pepper on top

This is awesome as a lunch or as a salad dish for a party. It really shows off fresh tomatoes.

  3. Roasted Tomato Basil Soup

3 lbs. ripe plum tomatoes, cut in half

¼ cup plus 2 Tbsp.s good olive oil

    1 Tbsp. kosher salt

1 ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper

2 cups chopped yellow onions (2 onions)

    6 cloves, garlic minced

    2 Tbsp.s unsalted butter

¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

1 (28 oz.) can plum tomatoes, with their juice

4 cups fresh basil leaves, packed

    1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves

1 quart chicken stock or water

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Toss together the tomatoes, 1/4 cup olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread the tomatoes in 1 layer on a baking sheet and roast for 45 minutes.

In an 8-quart stockpot over medium heat, sauté the onions and garlic with 2 Tbsp.s of olive oil, the butter, and red pepper flakes for 10 minutes, until the onions start to brown. Add the canned tomatoes, basil, thyme, and chicken stock. Add the oven-roasted tomatoes, including the liquid on the baking sheet. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered for 40 minutes. Pass through a food mill fitted with the coarsest blade. Taste for seasonings. Serve hot or cold.
