Help with cosmogirl.com?

i am trying to enter a sweepstakes on www.cosmogirl.com and when i try to fill out the information it says enter your birthdate in mm/dd/yyyy form.. and everytime i do it says i filled it ouy wrong..so i have no clue how to do it

can someone please explain to me how to fill that part out? thanks bunches :]

did u put it like (this is an example) 12/29/88(i made it up)? no letters, obviously.

both answers above are incorrect, sorry. it should be 2 digits for the month, 2 digits for the day, and FOUR digits for the year, as in 2008 or 1985. that's why there are four yyyy's for the year.

mm/dd/yyyy  the mm stands for month dd stands for day yy stnds for year like this 4/8/90
