Help with curtain rods/types.?

my windows are 84x84 and 54x63 i prefer the light silky/sheer kinds of curtains. any idea as to what kind of rods I need? or panels? I have no idea what im looking for.. thanks

it depends on whether you want to open them or not. If you dont, you can just get continous lace with a rod pocket hole at the top. you thread that on (a bit like elastic waist) onto a long pole.

If you want to open them, you can get continous with a stiched in area to put hooks into. this then goes onto runners with holes.

You get a lot of types of curtain rails. If you just want to see the fabric you can get the rails with wheeled rings. You then attach the hooks on the curtain if it has the tape on the curtains. We have two types of tape here. Then you can use a metal rod and rings that run on the rods with the same hooks on the curtains. You also get wood rods. Then you can fit steel rings in the curtains and push either rod through. You could also put up a cord and thread the curtain over the cord. I think that looks rubbish and you battle to open the windown and clean the windows.
