What are your daily beauty/bath routines?

Can you help me? I'm 16, and I like when everything's in order.

What are some routines and products that help you feeling fresh and pretty?

  1. using face wipes remove any dirt. then using cotton wool use a cleanser and then moisturiser afterwards. and a face mask once a week or a scrub helps loads too.

  2. When I was 16 usually I would wash my face twice a day with a neutrogena bar and didn't really have to use lotion because I had very oily skin. I would touch up my eyebrows with tweezers daily usually just for about 2 minutes, otherwise they would just grow out and I would have to do an "eyebrow overhaul" as I called it and pluck it all out at once. As you get older your metabolism keeps slowing down more and more and your eyebrows actually grow back slower. I didn't wear much makeup, but my favorite was black eyeliner pencil. Now I know that rimmel kohl eyeliners are the best, they go on smooth they're really great quality and available at drug stores. Oil absorbing sheets are really great, I used them in highschool and started using them again recently. They will keep your face feeling fresh after it starts to get a little oily. You can buy clean and clear from the drug store or order packs from eyeslipsface.com. Another favorite product was "eye stress gel". There are many products like it now, any sort of daily eye cream, it reduces any puffiness you might have and dark circles so you look awake, not tired.

Now that I'm 23 my routine is getting a lot more complicated, but that's all you should need when you're 16!

  3. I'm just like you! I love having a routine planned out, makes me feel so organized and prepared for anything. Anyway, this is my current routine (sorry it's pretty wordy!) I have dry/chemically damaged hair, so I use a fair amount of products.

    Morning / face:

    - Neutrogena Oxygenating Facial Scrub

    - Lush Tea Tree Oil toner (or lemon juice on my nose just for the acid to clean out any blackheads)

    - Good ol' Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

    - Clinique City Block Sunscreen SPF 40 (for my face and my eyes)

after letting the sunscreen soak for a bit...

    - Benefit That Gal primer

    - MAC Studio Tech powder/emollient foundation (apply with a nonlatex sponge) or Everyday Minerals sheer

    - MAC Fluidline liquid eyeliner in Silver Stroke

    - Covergirl Lash Blast mascara

    - Benefit Throb blush

    - Body Shop lip balm :)

Clean and Clear blotting sheets for touch ups, if my face gets oily. I'm not too big a fan of powder, I think the MAC Studio Tech makes my face look matte/velvety enough.

    Night:

    - Same MAC Studio Tech or Everyday Minerals (not sheer, matte)

    - MAC Set powder, as my face gets way too oily after a period of time

    - Smokey eye with dark eyeshadow, or slightly gaudy shimmer silver/gold eyeliner and thick dark lashes (Covergirl Lash Blast THEN Clinique Long Pretty Lashes, as the two formulas look awesome together)

    - Any coral lipstick, preferably matte

    - Extra brushes of Throb blush :)

    Night Routine:

    - Remove makeup with Garnier or J&J makeup removing wipes

    - Cleanse with Lush Angels on Bare Skin scrub

    - Tone with Tea Tree Oil water again

    - Apply on Neutrogena Antioxidant Eye Cream

    - Apply on Creme de La Mer (a bit pricey, but it lasts for ages and is really worth it. You definitely don't need this at 16, I'm already 21. Just use any moisturizer, I'm sure your skin is lovely.)

    Bathing:

    - L'Oreal exfoliating scrub (comes in a dark teal green tube), I use it once a week

    - Otherwise: Lush Rockstar soap and disposable soft sea sponges (synthetic's better for the environment!)

    - The Body Shop Peppermint Foot scrub (I always have to take care of my feet, since I am in love with peeptoe shoes and flipflops!)

    - Hair: Lush Rehab shampoo + Lush American Cream conditioner / Redken All-Soft shampoo + conditioner / Joico Clear Moisture shampoo + conditioner (I switch them every few months, so my hair doesn't get used to anything.)

    - Treatment: Lush Retread conditioner or Phyto Intense Jojoba Hydrating treatment or Garnier Sleek n' Shine treatment / Olive oil (soak in for an hour or so, as olive oil penetrates hair to the cortex as opposed to coating the hair strand.)

    - Leave-in: Jojoba oil or Tresemme Anti-Frizz or Redken Anti-Snap or Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream

Oh my that was way longer than intended. I just like trying out beauty products, as I think that's more important than buying brand clothes or whatever.
