Help with defensive end in football?

ok so i have not been to any practices but coach thinks im good and im starting defensive end for jv for some reason.ok ive never played defensive end in my life ive only played offense but i lied to coach cause i wanted to play defense. any tips on how to be a good defensive end?because when i go to make the tackle i always get juked. help me please.

VC doesnt know what hes talking about all all all all alway look at the numbers. the arms are going to move but the number always stay in the same place. then explode through the line then wrap the runner then keep drive your feet then push back yards.

You want to get a fast stance so and watch the ball closely. As soon as the ball is snaped you need to get a good burst. Get your off hand ready to swing and swat

Use your hands to get past the tackle. Learn the swim move and rip move.

Keep the ball and the QB inside you, you are contain.

Watch the hips on the runner, aim for the thighs when you tackles and wrap up the legs.
