  1. The 1/10 difference in size makes no difference...BUT...being a different brand can make all the difference in the world.

Every toric lens fits differently. You can't get toric lenses without having been fit for them first to make sure the rotation is right, among other things.

Especially the color torics, they are notorious for fitting badly.

Most often from 1 toric lens to another, either the curvature or the axis has to be changed to make them fit right....if at all.

For many people, out of 4 brands of toric lenses, only one of them will work right.

Besides all that...you can't order online lenses that you don't have a prescription for. They will call your Dr. to verify the prescription and brand before sending them, then find out your order isn't valid.

A correct contact lens prescription also has the brand of lenses written on it.

  2. I'm answering to support Footprintz123's answer.

The brand is part of the prescription for contact lenses, not a free choice afterwards (as you'd expect to with glasses frames)

Two different brands with the same shorthand numbers can fit very differently, since the base-curve and diameter in no way specify the whole shape of the lens. (that's what the brand does)

  3. Not really, can use it for a while and try it out lst

  4. The diamater isn't really as important as the base curve. Some lenses come in two or more different diamater measurements and others come in only one. Your optometrist can determine if they'll fit properly.
