Help with dvd recorder?

im trying to figure out who to use this..i have a toshiba dvd recorder, and i test recorded 30 secconds of a tv channel....then i took it out and placed it in my laptop and it says my disk is blank....whats going on??....i been hearing stuff about finalizing a DVD...how do i do that

yes, there will be an option in the menu, usually under disc. that says finalize.  Make sure that you have everything on it that you want because after you finalize it, you can't add anything else.

In the menu when the dvd recorder is on,  it will have a recording options menu.  The disk has to be finalized in order to play on other dvd recorders and laptops. If all else fails read the manual if you still have it.
