I just spent 16 hours downloading a movie and now it wont play. It's currently in avi format. Windows Media Player refuses to play it. So I downloaded an Avi to Wav converter and it wont convert. I then downloaded DivX player and it says the file needs to be Win32 format. The converter that comes with DivX player wont convert it either. Can someone please help?

  2. It's not a movie. It's a corrupt piece of useless software. You're lucky it wasn't a virus.

    My guess is that someone changed the filename manually, and now the format doesn't match the file.

  3. Use Handbrake and DVD43.

  4. I use a free program called Super, just google it, it will convert video and audio into just about any format you need.

  5. try flip for mac but that might be the opposite of what you need

  6. first check to see if it is anything that might be bad for your computer

    second download winap or something else cause windows player really sucks

  7. Ripping DVD I usually use E.M. Free DVD copy. because it lets me rip dvd easily, and it allows me rip DVD to other popular video formats such h264, Xvid, MOV, VOB, Mpeg, Mpeg4, Mpeg TS, AVI, WMV, and so on.

    so I can watch dvd movies on portable player like iPod, iPhone etc. conveniently. it can divides dvd into different chapters, I can rip my I favorite ones. in addtion to, it can copy whole DVD to hard disc.

    free use without limiting;

  8. ...First off, Windows Media Player isn't the best program to use.  Try installing Winamp (it's free with no spyware).  It works 50x as good... literally.
