Question:

Help with eBay "make an offer" option?

I am listening an item on eBay and am making the fixed price (buy it now) $450. However, I would also be open to reasonable offers so would like to use the Make an Offer option available... but I can't find this option anywhere.

I do not have an eBay shop but in the help it says that it applies to fixed price items, and tells you everything you need to know about MAKING an offer but not how to set it up.

Does anyone know how to set it up? Like where do I go to make it available? It's not there in the fixed price area where I put the amount.

  1. its on the "fixed price page" (next to online auction) you need to put a check mark on the box for "Allow buyers to send you their Best Offers for your consideration".

  2. YOU MUST PHISICALLY BE PRESENT TO BID?

  3. If your are on the standard ebay site the way its been for the last year there are links  its above the price area and reads

Choose how you'd like to sell your item Add or remove options | Get help

Click on add or remove options link and it should make it show up.

They just updated so if you are using the new beta site you can use the opt out link to get back to the original site.

Do you have a starting price also? Because the Best offer option will only show if the item is a fixed but it now price that.

Example you can list the ffer option if you have it listed for 450.00 buy it now and also offering a starting bid.

a link to inside my listing would not work for you. Sorry I couldnt help.
