I have a 00 civic ex coupe that im doing some major work on, and i figured while its all apart i might as well add a few 12v outlets, some lighting, and hardwire a few things. If anyone can tell me what I need to buy and do, that would be great. I just dont want to blow up my car. lol.

So im adding two more 12v outlets, which I already bought. Can I tap into the original 12v for these?

Im hardwiring my radar detector and my cell charger, where can I tap into to do that, or what would I need to do?

And I want to put some leds under the dash and under the driver and passenger seats, and if that takes too much power should I just use some regular bulbs? Andd is there any way to wire it so that when I open the doors, they go on, like the dome light?

And one other thing... lol. If I installed a flashing led on the driver door, could I wire it so that when the doors are locked it flashes, but when they're unlocked it stops flashing.

Its a long, random list.. but thanks in advance!

  3. The best help would be to get a car manual, one with color coded wiring diagrams. Circuits like to stay under the fuze limit...
