I have already asked this before(with 0 answers)but I'm going to ask again, what can I do about my energy crisis?! I have had some test done(like thyroid)among others(not sure what they were)but everything came back normal.I'm taking prescription painkillers(weak narcotics)for back pain and I'm taking more than prescribed to get some energy too.I know that's bad and I feel bad about that but what can I do?I don't know what to do.Is there something I can take for energy, that's good for me?I have tried the energy drinks and the caffeine pills but those do not work.I know I have a problem with the pain meds so please do not lecture me,I know I need help for that.I have been without energy way before I started taking pain meds so I don't think its from withdrawals.I have 3 kids to take care of!!What can I do??Thanks!

  1. Hi, no lecture ok !!

been here, got the t-shirt. I don't know how old you are ..may be hormonal, do you have very weak muscles/weight loss/nausea/sun tan but havent been in the sun ?..or chronic fatigue syndrome/M.E.. This condition  really hard to diagnose and the med guys tend to eliminate everything else it could be first. A couple of the most excellent books are ' living well with autoimmune disease' by mary shomon and 'from fatigued to fantastic' by jacob teitelbaum....or 'beat fatigue workbook' by leon chatow. These give excelent nutritional programmes, along with life style changes and vitamin/mineral supplements.....I don't need to tell you to come off the painkillers, but this is your body saying it NEEDS REST NOW !! if you ignore it, it will probably get worse. with 3 kids, tough one to carry out, but maybe partner/parents/parents in law/friends  can help ?. If you are still not right, go back and demand more tests....thyroid problems are very complex and you may need to see an endocrinologist.

It's hard, but please don't feel guilty...being a mum is tough enough when you are 100% well

  2. I found a source that tells how to help solve an energy crisis.  Go see it.

  3. Are you in good physical condition otherwise (back the exception)..?  Are you overweight?  How well do you sleep at night?  Pls give more details...I'll check back to see if you update...then I'll give my suggestions...k?

  4. maybe you have Anemia.

  5. well i am reading your query for the first time and i am definitely with u..can u believe i also had the same problem. I think you should go for a haemoglobin test.. secondly you shud take lots of iron...and energy drinks like glucose n all. Try not to work if you r tired or take little naps throughout the day..I hope u r not breastfeeding any of your kids as it really takes lotsof your energy..Improve your diet and add lots of protein and calcium in your diet.. You shud start taking multivitamins and iron supplements at the earliest.. Take care

  6. Sorry!  there is not an  answer without a lecture.  The pain meds are making it worse and your going through a vicious cycle.  Once you get off the pain meds and the withdrawals, you will eventually get some energy back, but it will be a while to get the endorphins in your head right too.  your on a dangerous path and I suggest you start getting it together now.

  7. I  also have an Energy  crisis

1.Drink a lot of vegetable Juice (it won work at first but later it will give you a bost)

2.Try eating some Good food can be dried

3 Stop taking painkillers they're draining your energy

    4.Coffeine dosent work !

5Walk a lot and dont belive in energy drink instead eat a lot of fresh vegetable and meat ! with rational proportions sometimes something unheathu like a Coke and a hanburger is also needed ! Eat everything in Reasonable proportions !

It can help works for me adleast !

  8. Without knowing more details about you I would suggest that you exercise more.  Also, wre you eating well?  Eggs are a good source of enerhy. Do you smoke or drink in excess?  Caffeine?  Try a healthier life style, walks, vegeterianism, etc.

  9. well you can try jolt it is a energy gum and a energy drink tha can boost you up for a few hours you drink the drink every couple of days and with the gum 2 a day = a cup of coffee so you can try that maybe that can help or maybe whats happenning is because you have two much stress or pressure on your hands
