"You have decided to test the effects of 5 garden fertilizers by applying some of each to 5 separate rows of radishes."

1) What is the variable you are testing?

2) What factors should you control?

3) How will you measure the results?

I think the variable is fertilizer, am I correct?

I need help on this, thanks.

  1. Yes, because you are keeping the other factors (type of radish and anything else affecting their growth (light, how much water, etc.)) controlled, or the same.

You would measure the results, I assume, by how averaging the weight of the radishes from each row, as the root of the plant is the only part most folks have any use for.
