recently i got a wrist band that says "Baha'i" on it, and i'm proud of my beliefs, but i don't know how to explain them to my friends and family members who are Christians!! most are very ignorant of any religion(including there own), yet they criticize my beliefs!!! i try and explain my beliefs, yet some say i'm going to h**l?!

usually it goes like: what's Baha'i?= my beliefs("my religion" pisses them off)

what is that?= basically i believe there is more than one way to god than Jesus...

and then things get heated and they usually tell me i should stop, or I'm going to h**l, or shake there head in disgust or a combination of all 3.. :) i usually mention in there how jews are going to h**l??, cause it's the christian way or the highway!

so what can i do/say?

  1. Baha'i is the idea of deism, however through the Abrahamic God. Show them why you chose this religion, as Baha'i's ideas are very logical.

  2. Jesus is the judge of who goes to h**l, not your friends and family. The Bible is God's word and the Lord Jesus Christ clearly says that he IS the way to the father!

  3. Tell them to look it up on wikipedia.

  4. Just tell them the truth: Baha'i World Faith is a watered-down attempt at unifying the other big religions under monotheism, and they accept everybody.  Oh except for women, who still can't hold the highest clergy ranks in Baha'i.  And g**s.

  5. Take a moment and listen to what your family has to say about their belief, and then explain your belief to them...bd

  6. Well.....I wrote out a long response but it never got posted.....so I'll just be brief.

-Study the Writings daily so you'll become more knowledgeable.

-Pray for their hearts and minds to open.

    -Never engage in argumentation.

-Offer the Faith as a servant would be offering a priceless gift to a king.

-Ask for inspiration while speaking to them.

-Find out someone nearby who can help you out.

-Let your deeds and actions be the best way to teach your family.

-Be patient. They might not acknowledge the Faith in this lifetime. All you can do is 'sow the seeds'. God will harvest things in His time.

-ignore & forgive the rantings of those who attack you....but defend the Faith with courage and wisdom.

    Good luck my friend!

  7. Say it's about finding a spiritual path in more than one way, and also about uniting the world.
