I currently own a Kodak LS743 which is getting a bit long in the tooth.

I am enjoying learning Macro Photography but love taking landscape and arcitechture shots also.

I am saving for a Canon SLR with accesories but don't anticipate being able to afford one this year and would like to buy a new digital one for now for no more than £200 any ideas?

  1. you wouldnt think it but Aldi has 7 Megapixel cameras for under 60 pound, why not try that?

  2. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...

i used to have the older version of this camera..it was amazing.

but i broke the screen on a go cart =(

  3. I always recommend the Canon line (although many have issues with the ELF series).

Why I like them for P+S cameras

    1) Excellent "AUTO" function

    2) Offers a good deal of manual function as well (not as good as SLR by ANY means, but gives more adjustment).

    3) Still has a view finder - if you take lots of outdoor sunny pics, these are still needed imo

    4) The menu and settings make sense to even the simplest of people

    5) They have some that still take AA batteries

We have the A570IS (replaced by A590IS) and love it. It has face recognition, image stabilizer and 90% of all the auto pictures turn out great. Here in the states, it cost ~$150 (£76).

We also have the A720IS and love it too (only a little more money than the 570/590)

There is also a benefit with going with Canon as you want a Canon SLR - you will be familiar with the menu structure.

  4. YOU CAN VISIT THE WEBSITES OF THE COMPANY THAT SELLS CAMERAS ,TO KNOW ABOUT PRICING.

  5. Hi. I think your best bet is to go out and buy What Digital magazine..It will give you all the information and specs you require Cheers
