Help with fixing up a guitar?

I need a bit of help with a guitar. I found one in my garage that my cousin lost a 4 strings of and then didn't want, so when he moved out my family ended up getting it and it sat in the garage for several years, I found it (again) and want to put it back into good condition and possibly learn how to play it. Its a regular guitar (not electric). I don't know much else about it though.

Heres what I know is wrong:

*missing 4 strings

*chipped paint

*lots of dust (I cleaned off most of that though)

  1. All you need to do is re-string that puppy and you're in business. You can find numerous articles on line that can help demonstrate how to re-string it (or take it in to a guitar store buy some and have them show you how to put one on and then you can get the rest). A great tool to learn guitar is Tabalature. It basically takes the six strings of the guitar and shows you which fret (the spaces on the guitar) to play the note from. Ultimate-guitar.net is one of the best sites for this. They also have a program that you can download for free called PoweTabs and with this program you can download midi files of your favorite songs and play along with them.
