I broke my flush water supply pipe and flooded my apartment about five days ago, i thought the floor had dried but some parts still feel soggy and other parts are sticking out and just wont stay back in place when i try to push them back into place.

For the last five days, i've been running the dehumidifier and fan and keeping the windows closed to keep the room dry.. Anyway, i'd like any info or links about flooded floors, what i can do and what my options are.

  1. I had the same thing happen in my bathroom about five years ago.

Sadly there was nothing I could do about it.

The wood had expanded and I had to rip the whole flooring out and start again.  but not with the same flooring, couldn't bear to go through that pain again.

  2. Have you told your landlord what you've done?

  3.   Lefty is right you may very well have to replace it w/ something..Once most any wood is exposed to that kind of water it s usally ruined.. Insureance if you have it will help  GL

  4. Replace entire floor, it's expensive but honest, it will work!
