  1. Make sure your leg goes to an open second position each time you initiate a turn, and keep practicing!

  2. well it sounds like you might have trouble with spotting. just whip your head and never loose that "spot". it just takes practice and mastery.

    as for the actual fouettes

make sure you're not "whipping" your foot too much, if you know what it mean.

use your plie and watch your arms too.

you can practice them at the bar

put one hand on the bar and bring your leg up to Crosse and bring it around and through to posse. that's the basic fouette movement. once you got it down on the bar you can try actually turning with it.

hope that helps, and good luck!

  3. Keep Your center

    Spot

Practice the leg movements without the turn until you get it.

    practice practice practice.

  5. It isn't about how much concentration you have. You can get them, just practice!

When you are in releve, make sure your shoulders are back, you have your butt tucked under, and you have your stomach tightened!

Practice the leg movements over and over without turning.

A good stretch for fouettes is to lay on your back, pull one leg to your chest, straighten it, then move it like a hand on a clock. around and around.

REMEMBER, you can't turn if you don't spot!

    I hope this helps
