Help with fridge freezer. It keeps switching off. It's not the bulb.?

The plug is okay, the wires are okay there isnt a temperature dial on the freezer but the one on the fridge is only on number 2.

try turning it up to 3 or 4. Setting 2 is not very cold so it could be turning off because it has reached the temperature

there is a plastic wedge that moves in and out at the top of the fridge when the door is opened or closed this switches the light on and off,maybe that is stuck.

It may have run out of gas. Check the manual or call someone out to repair it.

Although your question has not got enough information in it I would be almost sure that your thermostat is faulty causing it to play up all the time, replacement should cost between £40-£60 depending on the Engineer.

HVAC Tech.: There is a great lack of information in your question!!!!  What I have to work with, tells me it could be anything from a faulty wall plug to a defective overload on the compressor, rat gnawed wires, improper temp settings. Sorry, to much guess work. If you have food in it, get a technician to look at it quick ! Buy the way did you defrost it with a knife or ice pick.

The freezer shuts off, but the fridge stays on? The freezer works sometimes? Check to see if the fridge shuts off to.This could be the cord to the appliance. Or if the fridge stays on and the freezer shuts off it could be the door switch is faulty. This could be an easy fix. If not you might have to shell out the doe and hire a appliance repair man.
