Help with fun on horse games and activities?

Question

For the past few weeks i have been teaching a young girl I know how to ride my old QH. I can tell she concentrates so hard to were the lesson turns out to be no fun. I also own a younger TB mare that i sometimes ride in the lesson to show her the proper position of her legs or other stuff like that. Does any one have a fun stress-free game or activitie I can do with her?

pony her along a trail or a safe small road. play games like on the ground if you have a playful horse.

You can do an obstacle course, follow the leader, trail riding, and get imaginative. It's so much fun to be creative and learn at the same time!

you could do a magazine race when  you put a magazine on a barrel or something and call out a number and she has to go and rip out the page number you called and go back as fast as she can. time her and see how fast she can go! its fun to try and "break the record" you can join in too with two magazins and you can do it at just a walk/trot/canter or any speed!

When i used to do lessons about horses,  I remember they had bought a kind of paint, and we painted our horses up(after tacking them up) and  just the fact that the horses were all colorful made us laugh.  

Take her on a  calm trail ride, maybe  trot some. keep conversation up, I remember during some lessons, my instructor wasnt very nice at all,or quiet, and i was very tense (Im a shy person)

You could aslo ask her to not concentrate as much, to have fun with riding (as everyone should!)

okay,everyone hates these but i find them fun,,, let her trot barrells... or if you have trails bring her out once she gets something right.

Try the barrel pattern or the pole pattern, its so different to the horse if they aren't used to that stuff. You can do alot of practicing with legs and cues and with no pressure.

Let her ride one of the horses around in a trot, I had lessons once and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
