  1. Wear the same type of outfit that you'd wear on a job interview, even though you probably won't be interviewing. Walk in, and go to the front desk. If they are waiting on paying customers, wait until they are finished. Say "Hi, I'd like to fill out an application." Fill it out whether or not they say they are hiring. (The person at the desk won't always know.) You'll be a little shy the first time, but it's no big deal. This happens almost daily.

DO NOT ask or demand to be interviewed on the spot. Normally they will call you back for an interview.

  2. You'd go into the bowling alley and ask someone if they're hiring. If so they'll give you an application to fill out. *hint* bring a pen with you so you don't look like a slacker.

And no, you don't need experience to work in a bowling alley.

  3. go in person

  4. No you do not need experience.

You call them up, ask if they are hiring. If they are:

You dress nice and walk down there with a pen and 5 people's names and contact info that would recommend you.  Bring your social security number and ID.

You ask for their application. You fill it out there, in pen and in nice handwriting. You smile and be positive and polite! You can ask questions, like when they will be making the hiring decisions.

    Good luck!

  5. Dress nicely (button-down or polo shirt and khakis or chinos if you're a guy; nice pants and button-down, or skirt and top [keep it conservative] if you're a girl) and go in person.  Tell them that you are interested in working there (maybe add a reason why... are you an excellent bowler?  do you have good people-skills?  have you had positive experiences there?  Do you need a job in the evening, and think that cosmic bowling would be a positive environment?).  Then ask if they are hiring.  If they are, request an application (bring contact info (previous employers or personal references)), and fill it out while you are there, if possible (write neatly in print!).  Thank them and shake hands.  It is possible that you will immediately be interviewed, but more likely that they will look over your application, and call you later.

If they are not hiring, thank them anyway, and shake hands.  If you are really interested in working there, ask to fill out an application anyway, and tell the manager (if he/she is there) that you would really like to work there when there is a space open.  Request that they call you if a spot opens up.  If they have any need whatsoever, they might contact you anyway for a more part-time position because you are so interested in the position (don't be offended if they don't though).

Call them back a week after submitting your application and ask if they have had the opportunity to review it yet.  Don't call them more than 1x/week, or else they will be annoyed.  Stay upbeat and polite no matter what happens.

If after 2 weeks they haven't contacted you, you might start looking for another job.  The bowling alley still might call, but it couldn't hurt to have other options.

    Good luck!
