Help with gold rush history assignment..??

ok so i have a history assignment due monday an i need to write a 1000 word explanation on shaft mines and shaftmining and how it was done,. materials etc.

can anyone please help me i am lost with this topic.

maybe write something not coppied from a page so i can use in my assignment.. ??

this isn't the answer, but for future references, if they look your assignment up on google they could find a yahoo answer and you will still get in trouble...
