  1. I would suggest the Epi SG. Epiphones are much much cheaper than Gibons, though the quality isn't as good. Some people like to buy Epi guitars and put Gibson pickups in them to make them sound better. (I have an Epi Les Paul Ultra which I like just fine, but Epi quality can vary somewhat).

I am not a fan of either Marshall or Spider amps, I personally like Crate. Regardless of what brand you go with, be aware that tube amps are louder than solid state amps of the same wattage rating. I would suggest either a solid state amp around 30-40 watts or a tube around 15-25 watts to get a good sound at bedroom volume.

Welcome to the quest for great tone, and good luck!

  2. there is no better amp than marshall. the mg100hdfx/ca412a is a good choice. comes with a jack for headphones( using headphones you still dont lose that marshall sound)

as for a new gibson guitar, a les paul would cost you over $2000

hope this helps, and good luck

  3. Its all personal preference. I'd get the line 6. I personally hate marshall. But i recommend just go to a guitar store and play through both of them. Also the gibson or epiphone aren't good guitars. Gibsons are way overpriced. Epiphone just ain't good

  4. Try the Blackheart BH5-112 Guitar Amp Combo. i'm not sure if it's what you want so you may want to look around some more, but what i'm sure of is that YOU SHOULD NOT GET THE SPIDER. Spider amps make you think you got a good amp, but after you look around a bit more you'll find that there are so many better amps. If you can get a tube amp actually. It may be a bit too loud, but it'll be worth it in the end.
