Help with guitar chords!?

At the end of the bridge when it says to play C Am/C Am7 G/C D/F# D, I don't think it matches up with what's in the video starting at 2:18...? help i'm really confused!

  1. The chords that are written with a / , are indicating what the bottom note should be.

    So,  Am/C  is an A minor chord with a C as the bottom note,

    G/C is a G chord with a C note added underneath. D/F# has the F# note in the bottom which would be voiced differently than a standard D chord.

    (Bottom= lowest sounding note)


  2. Arlene called it a "bottom note". some people would also call it a "bass note". like she said, it's just the lowest note hit. Most times, if you have a Bass player, you don't even worry about the bass note (such as Am/C) cuz the bass player will play that bottom note (the C note) while you play the chord (Aminor).
