  1. heartburn........whats that

  2. tums, can help. pepsid.

read the article on the follwoing link, it is very helpful.

  3. I had acid reflux, so i know. DO NOT take over the counter anti acids as Rolaids and Tums they will make it worse the next day. You need to take something like Prilosic or Nexium. In the short term drink pickle juice or eat a pickle. The vinegar reduces the acid that your stomach is producing. You really should get a doctor if it persist

  4. I use Zantac75...it works pretty quickly! You can get it pretty much anywhere!

If that doesn't work you may want to talk to your doctor and have something Prescribed.

    Hope you feel better!

  5. 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 6 oz of water...add an ice cube to help it go down...slam it ...wait a few seconds and you will get instant relief...see a doc to make sure it's not acid reflux disease!

  6. you need a prescription if its that bad, i have bad heartburn too, if you have persistant heart burn too much you could develope Barrets Esophogus that wouldnt be good, I eat tums like crazy, and I noticed that my tap water gives me heartburn, so I only drink bottled water now

  7. You could always eat a piece of bread when you get heartburn to soak up the acids in your stomach; or, if it is very bad try pep-to-bismol(sp) or other heart burn medication.

    Maybe milk would also help.

  8. you could try Maalox, chewing pills, and alka selzer if you are feel like vomiting

  9. Prevacid i believe it's called. works great for me. i know exactly how you feel.

  10. Rip out your heart and burn it that way the zombies wont come.

  11. There is no cure for that it sounds like you have a hiatal hernia.  I have that.  Just take 3/4 warm water and about 1 teaspoon of baking soda and mix it and slam it.  You will burp but feel much better.

  12. Well the first two suggestions I offer is take an antacid of some kind or take a paste made with baking soda and water (I guarantee it wont taste good, though.)

Since baking soda is basic- it should help neutralize the acid. Milk is also slightly basic too- it should help lest you lactose intolerant.

  13. if you dont have any over the counter products you can buy where you live.  try drinking milk, it puts a coating on the stomach.

  14. 2 tsp cider vinegar

    1/2 tsp baking soda

    4 to 6 ozs water

    mix together and drink

(it will foam up some so

mix the water & baking soda

      1st then add to vinegar)

  15. You undoubtedly have acid reflux. You may have a hiatal hernia, which causes the little flap between your stomach and esophagus to open and close improperly. You should not eat anything after 8:00 pm and to prevent the stomach acid from backing up into the esophagus, raise the head of your bed up about two bricks high or one cement block high. If you feel as though you have a lot of acid, eat a couple pieces of plain bread. It will soak up the acid. Cut down on acidic things like soda pop, tomatoes, etc. The best pill for acid reflux is Nexium if you can get it. But for now, cut down any heavy late night eating, raise the head of the bed and you'll do fine. Eventually you may have to have surgery to repair the hernia. I wish for you the very best young lady and hope you can find out for sure the problem, and have great luck resting better.

  16. u cant lie down if u do fluids burn ur heart so make ur pillows upper so u can sleep more sitting up then u are lying down

  17. pepcin works for me

  18. Eat a pickle or something with a little bit of vinegar in it.  I know it doesn't seem logical, but it works for simple heartburn.  If you have acid reflux, see a doctor.

  19. Pepcid, Zantac...check with a doc...He may need to check for any other problems.

  20. Tums is good. Don't eat spicy foods.

  21. Rolaids or Tums for immediate relief, and for long-term relief, take a Tagamet or Zantac before going to bed.  Also try using two pillow so that your head is propped up higher than your stomach.  It also helps to sleep on your left side.

In the meantime, please see your physician, you may have a stomach ulcer or reflux.

    Wishing you the best!

  22. my mom eats those red and white mints if she has no medicine with her... go to the dr and get a perscription..

  23. When you feel it coming on eat a BANANA :O) It works!! Go to the link N see all the good you can get from Banana's~~ They are way better then apples "Like they say 2 apples a day will keep the Doc away" It only takes one banana!!

  24. prilosec

  25. For quick relief try some baking soda and water. The baking soda nuetralizes the acid in your stomach.  For long term relief try the prilosec otc.

  26. Mylanta in chewable tablets works wonders!

  27. A big glass of milk and then some tums. Prilosec OTC works really well, but you have to take it every day.

  28. Buy Rolaids chewable, it is like gum but once chewed it dissolves and work great.

But if you wake up in the middle of the night and don't have antacids, then  use baking powder or baking soda, mix 2 Tablespoons in a glass of water and drink it quickly and it will help your heartburn.

But you should make an appointment with your doctor.
