Help with heat transfer paper

Ive got some heat transfer paper for printing images onto then ironing it onto fabric but last time i used it, although it came out onto the tshirt fine but when it went through the wash it started to sort of peel off. Why did this happen?

Can anyone give me instructions for doing it and fixing it into place? i didnt get instructions with it by the way i bought it as separate sheets from my colleges shop (which is closed now due to holidays!)

    I want to say ‘decoupage’ but we’d just be sweating out another happy hour sweetie. Hmmm, I would say you obviously washed too hot, you’re running too hot sweetie, far too hot. Now, if you really wanted fabric to stick, nip out to your garden, ignore the neighbours, grab a few snails. Smoosh those slimy lovelies up in a bowl or blender,

    (that stuffs used by nasa to stick astronaut's  to the stratosphere). If you’ve got some left over, smooth it over your face to, makes a fabulous facial in more ways than one !

    Iron that sticky snail juice on there sweetie, problem solved (ignore the smell)
