I'm 14 years old, i've been playing hockey since i was 3, and ever since then i've used Vapor hockey sticks. I'm going to buy a new stick but i've never tried out other hockey sticks. What kind do you think i should buy, i already have the vapor xxxx, and i want a different brand. Any ideas? I use an intermidiete stick and want a good curve.

  1. Easton sticks .. try the S17 or Synergy elite ive heard those sticks are very good.

Dont go into CCM, those sticks are garbage, i had 2 of those and they sucked.

Warrior sticks.. im not completely sure.. but for 220 bucks it must be good...

RBK.. i hear those are very light,

  2. if you like what you have stick with it. I usually recommend an Easton Synergy two piece as a good stick that's also economical since you can replace parts if part breaks (or change blade curves on a whim) and there's a pretty good selection of curves. Don't have intermediate, but a senior 70 flex would probably do ya, and it'll last.

If you're stuck on a one piece, the Normal synergy (elite is their current  top in that line.)

RBK is supposed to make a very good stick too. I toyed around with the pro sickick recently (getting skate repaired by a pro equipment manager at his house- he keeps a little shop there) and it was nice. Good balance, light, don't know how durable it was or how the feel was, but I'd be tempted to give it a try if he had a lower flex and better curve selection. But The commercial RBKs have a decent curve selection, you should be good there if you want to try.

But the best advice is to go to a pro shop and try out a few sticks, ask the guys who work there what what they use, so on and so forth.

  3. Stick with what you like. I have tried CCM and other composite sticks but remain loyal to Easton.

I haven't tried any of the Bauer's though, but I hear they have some pretty good ones. Try online sources like hockeymonkey.com so that you're not just limited to what's available at your local shop.

I couldn't agree more : Montreal makes the best wood sticks ever - not sure how their composite sticks are though.

  4. Easton stealth s17 best stick out there

  5. get a Montreal hockey stick they are very durable and lightweight.  only one on the rink with this brand.
