I always have claimed and have been told im fairly good at computers but this does beat them all and im at my wits end.

Okay, about a month ago i went to log onto my hotmail account and it displayed a message saying i needed to update my web browser. So i clicked on Internet exploer and it stated that I already had the newest version, 7 , and wouldnt let me do anything else.

I then went onto Mozilla with helped but i didnt get on with it at all. my security is fine and all that jazz and its bugging the h**l outta me as it was perfectly fine in july!! I also found out that people have had the similar problem after searching around a bit but it didnt help much what the people suggested.

PLEASE HELP - im begging you, im resorting to screaming at it its that fustrating!

  1. Download an email client like mozilla thunderbird, this will bypass the need for a web browser

  2. So you are trying to get to hotmail or something else, and suddenly the page you want gets hijacked by Microsoft asking you to upgrade to i.e7 when you already have it ,  sooooo whats the problem here just cross the box if you are on i.e 7 already i get it too sometimes at the beginning around every 6-8 weeks . Also changing settings on firefox will do nothing nor apple, just cross the box and carry on as normal, and it is not malware, its from microsoft, if it persists ring Microsoft themselves and complain .

  3. HI - Hope this will help you

Basically there are n No of browsers - and you have Microsoft Product - It always good to use Internet Explorer - (IE). All Xp computers come with IE 6 as default - it also upgrads from server by Microsoft.

    1) The Easy way is to restore the system to earlier time.

steps : 1) click on start - 2) Programs - 3) Accesseries - 4) System Tools - 5) System restore - Which will open a new window called "System Restore" - 6) select the opetion - (*)Restore my computer to an earlier Time - Which will show you a small Calender with Dates - select the Date when the system was working fine .. as xp creates a restore points - and which causes Problems -- so check this - this will reboot your system -  you can check that

I think You about the above Solution - as You seems Good in Computers

    The secound Way

    - 1) Uninstall the IE 7 From Control Pannel (Dont worry you will still have IE 6 in the system as its default ) - then Check whether things are doing well or not - If they are fine Just Go to google.com - search for IE 7 and dwonload it ..

    Steps:

    1) First Click on Start - Settings - Control Pannel - Add/Remove Programs - List will Populate -

    2) Select IE 7 - click on Remove -

Note in case If you Dont find IE 6 Just Dont worry

Click on Start - Open -My computer - and from top address Bar - delete the line (My Computer) and type www.msn.com -

    it will open
