Help with iTunes please?

I've got an iPhone 3G and I've been trying to transfer some movies from my computer to it through iTunes. I know the video file's format has to be MP4. And it is. but every time I try to drag the movie file onto iTunes's movie library, it just won't let me! -_-

Can anyone tell me why this might happen ? Is there any other way to transfer movies to an iPhone without the use of iTunes?

Note: I have the latest version of iTunes. And also I can't even play any kind of movie on iTunes except for Podcasts ( if it helps .. )

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPhone. You can try DVD to iPhone Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPhone. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great.
