I have tried the best I can to connect myps3 to the internet to the network for months, and I am sick of not getting it work. My connection is in the order modem to router to pc. The internet on the computer doesnt even work if I have it connected that way. I have also tried to connect the ps3 to the network through one of the four extra jack ports. i would prefer to have it connected through a wired connection. on the router. Do I have to change any settings on my pc. I have a cable modem and have cox internet. My pc's internet works fine If I just connect the modem to the pc. Can you please tell me to do it right.

  1. If the router in the middle is not being accepted by the modem then the modem would not provide internet to the router. I would call your ISP (internet service provider) and make sure that the router in between your PC and Modem is being detected. They should be able to walk you through a reset to force the modem to recognize the router, which should then be able to provide all of your connected devices with internet.
