How do you express the domain and range of this function in interval notation?

f(x) = 1 / (x-3)

  1. The range is:

    [-infinity,0) U (0,infinity]

    (All reals except 0)

    The domain is

    [-infinity,3) U (3,infinity]

    (All reals except 3)


  2. Domain: = { x "belongs to" R  |   x > 3  or x < 3}

    Range: = {  f(x) "belongs to" R | f(x) > 0 or f(x) <0}
