Help with letter of consent to travel by plane!

My little sister and I (14, and 9 years old), are travelling to the Netherlands to visit our aunt/cousins...we need to have a letter of consent from our parents...how should this be written? any good tips or places? and where can we go to get the letter "notorized" or official?

I'm in Vancouver ....help please!

  1. The letter could say:

    To Whom It May Concern:

    As the parents of ?? and ?? we give permission for them to go to the Netherlands to visit their aunt (give the name and address, phone number of your aunt) from (give the dates) to (date returning).  

    The letter must be signed by both your parents and give their address and telephone number.  Your parents should be available at that phone number until you have arrived at your aunt's place in case any officials want to call them.

    You can get the letter norarized by a justice of the peace, a commissioner of oaths, and others.  Check at the local police station if you are not sure where to go to get it notarized.
