Help with levitating card trick?

My friend did this levitating card trick and he bent the card then he through it in to the air like a boomerang and it was sort of out like on an angle then it came back to him just like a boomerang and it was spinning the whole time. Does anyone know how this is done? Or can anyone give me a website to find it?

He used a very thin string. I cant remember what it was called (incisible string? magic string?) but it was a fun trick. Look for a book called "ufo card" or "whirling card" at a magic shop. The trick itself is a little tricky, but like all magic tricks, you need to practice. Good luck!
