Help with lotteries?

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand how reduced system entries work. In a standard game we pick 5 from 45 numbers and 1 from 45 (it's called powerball).

What benefit does a reduced system give me? Does that mean that any of my first 5 numbers can be used as teh powerball?

Only the 1 from 45 can be used as powerball although one of the 5 numbers could be the same as it.

Not sure what the advantage is, but, whatever number you pick as your powerball, is that number.

You can win with 3, 4, or 5 of your numbers without the powerball, or you could win with the powerball alone, or with a combination of the powerball, plus your other numbers.
