Help with making a tournament level deck (YuGiOh)?

Question

I know this a big ask but I really want to go to a tourny (just a small one) so I need a good, strong deck that is reasonably cheap to make. I only have about $102 to spend so It's tough knowing what deck to make. I don't really want a Batteryman deck for various reasons so if you could post a good deck list and It's strategy's that would be great. And is it possible to have a good Macro/Monarch deck that doesn't require too much money too make?

Well, I used to do a few tournament matches when Yu-gi-oh first came out. I can't exactuly tell you what you deck should be but I will tell you something that should be in their to help you and good deck type.

Firstly find you're self a good deck type. This is key so you can mold everything around them, I personnel like magic decks. The ratio between monsters, spells and traps I think should be about 25 monsters, 15 spells and 10 trap cards, this give you about and evan number of odd of getting monsters of magic & trap cards instead of just getting all monsters and not knowing what to do with 'em. So card you should not have would be fusion cards because they take to long to get and to get the card you need you could just sacrifice one monster and get the same power level monster without all those extra cards in their.

Cards that should be in their are of course bind and halt cards like swords of reveling light and spellbinding cards, these give you extra turns to help you out if you need to pick-up a certain card or buy you time for a combo attack. Some attack absorbing trap cards which put the attack of the enemy's monsters point on to you're life point can really help to give you a lot of life points and to make sure you have points to spare if you have cards that require life points.

Skill, technique and strategies can't be told only learnt, for these my friend are on you're own with and nobody can tell the way you should do it with that deck because all deck are customized to a person liking and personality.

Hope this helps, did for me in heaps of matches. This also should not cost much, just use other cards you have to make one with it as you can and get boosters or a deck if you need a few cards to help.

You know , Monarch decks are much expensive. To start off , you can use this deck, It's a Dragon Deck inspired by Horus and Armed. (Don't worry about "Dragon Capture Jar"! "Jinzo" , "Stamping Destruction" will handle it! I know this deck is much expensive, but it's a good choice to build this deck! Well , don't think about the price first , instead go for the Deck Recipe!

HOW IT WORKS!!!

This deck revolves around summoning your three ace DRAGONS - Mirage Dragon , Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV's 6 or 8 , Armed Dragon LV's 5 or 7. So these means that Mirage Dragon will hold down Traps , Horus will negate the Spells , and Armed Dragon will take down the monsters. Cards like - "Level Up" will help you summon cards like - "Horus the Black Flame LV 6 or 8 and Armed Dragon 5 or 7. Level Adjust also helps. The dragons' threath - Dragon Capture Jar - will be undertaken by either Jinzo or Stamping Destruction.

TRIVIA!

Did You Know that Element Dragon has this effect to attack as many times possible depending on the monsters attribute on the field?! Element Dragon's effect is to increase the ATK of it by 500 if there's a fire monster present on the field. For wind monsters is to attack once gain in a row whenever it destroys a monster controlled by your opponent. An example is in this deck. Having these set of cards , the combo will excecute. "Element Dragon" , Armed Dragon (ANY LV) , Horus the Black Flame Dragon (ANY LV)... Now, the field obtains a fire and a wind - attribute monster on the field for Element Dragon to do it's job.

here's the cheapest way to build good decks: Buy two or three of the same structure deck (Surge of Radiance, Invincible fortress etc.) and make a deck out of them. you'd be surprised how good the decks are when built like this, and if you need a few single cards to enhance the strategy you have enough money left over to do so.
