Help with marine biology is australia?

im a 14 year old freshmen.

im interested in australian marine life.

when im 18; i want to go to australia and study it.

could someone give me some information on how i could get this started.

Pick a college that will get you towards your goal. To start out with, If you are in the states, most colleges near the coast have more marine major choices than inland ones. Unless you can afford it, and are truly sure you want to follow through with this, I suggest you try universities here first, rather than starting out in Australia. Marine biology or ichthyology (study of fish) would be great, but others can help you get there as well. College advisors are always there to help you too. During college, you can pick a study abroad program during the fall/spring semesters or during the summer. I went to Australia this summer during a study abroad program and i loved it. You also earn college credit and can get financial aid. The Great Barrier Reef is almost always included in Australia programs so you will definately get to snorkel/scuba and see plenty of marine life. You can also visit JCU (James Cook University) in North Queensland and look at their programs. If you really like it, maybe you could go to grad school at JCU in order to study the Aussie marine life.
