Help with marketing project!?

Question

Ok so I have to come up with a new marketing scheme for the sports drink PROPEL.

I'm marketing for pre teens. (middle schoolers)

Name celebrities/athletes that I can put the whole market behind on. High School Musical and Hannah Montana are already taken.

For the market you are after, I'm not sure an entertainment celebrity is the right choice. I would think young athletes would be better. I say this as a professional marketer and the mother of a 14-year-old athlete. He is going to respond much more to another athlete who he knows understands the rigors of training. With an interest in the Olympics coming up right now, you could start an ongoing campaign following the preparation of 13 and 14 year old Olympic hopefuls training for the 2012 games. Sorry I can't provide names, but I'm sure an online search would turn some up. You might include in that "everyday athlete." Create your own celebrities. Hold a contest in which middle school athletes could compete for a chance to be a Propel spokesperson. How? It could be that they are chosen by athletic achievement AND something outstanding they've done in the community. Or, if you want to have some fun, perhaps choose an athlete from various sports -- swimming, soccer, football, track, etc. Then, have them crossover and compete against each other in each other's sport -- gymnast against basketball player or football player against swimmer. These could somehow be fun videos that you could make, or you could have people submit on YouTube. It might be more fun to use everyday people who you develop into celebrities through a little viral marketing.  Oh, and be glad that High School Musical and Hannah Montana are taken. For my son and his buddies, either of those two would make them NOT drink Propel.
