use the distrubutive property to write each expression as an equivalent expression. then evaluate

1. 3(5+1) 2. (2+7)5

3. (10+ 2)7 4. 2(9-8)

5. 4(10-2) 6. 6(13+4)

dont make fun of me i just enterd sixth grade and im in 8th grade math so i dont remember this stuff from last year and PLEASE explain to me the properties like e.g. disturbutive property

  1. add the ones in the bracets first so you would go (5+1) = 6 then + 3

    it all = you work it out 8TH GRADE COME ON IM IN THE 11TH GRADE DO YOUR HOME WORK INSTEAD OF HAVING g*y LITTLE CRUSER PARTIES WIT HYOUR STUPID TEENY BOPPER FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!


  2. Sam...that guy is WRONG!! What you would do for number one is:

    take 3x5 then 3x1 so it would be (3x5)+(3x1)=18

                                                                       ^equilevant expression^



    That's why it's called the distributive property. you distribute the number not in he parenthases. it doesn't matter if it is before or after. You'd do the same thing. and if it is a subtraction problem you'd do the same thing except where the plus sign is, you'd use a minus sign.
