Help with math? super simple, just want to check?

its a word prob. really easy, but it's my first day back from summer vac and my brain hasn't gotten into math mode yet, if you know what i mean

translate:

the difference of w and six is the opposite of x

so its 'W - 6' but i forgot the opposite sign

also, if it says "the quotient of x and y"

i write: x/y

right?
