  1. 1. 2 + 2 = 4, 2 + 3 = 5, 2 + 5 = 7, 2 + 7= 9

        3 + 3 = 6, 3 + 5 =  8, 3 + 7 = 10

    I count these 7.  Any others would just be duplicates.

    2. 97

    3. Oh, come on, do the math...

    1 = $1  2 = $4  3=$8 4=$16, 5=$32, 6=$64, 7=$128, 8=$256, 9=$512 so on the tenth birthday, she would get 1,024

    4.  I divided the class in 1/2.  If there were 13 boys and 13 girls, there would be 91 sides drawn.  So, since I needed one more side, I changed one girl into a boy.  I get that there are 14 boys and 12 girls.

    5. ?
