Well I'm trying to revise for my GCSE maths exam but I can't work this question out!The sides of a right-angled triangle are x, (x+2) and (2x-2). The hypotenuse is length (2x-2). find the actual dimensions of a triangle.I've started working it out but now I'm stumped. So basically have I gone wrong or is it right so far in which case can you tell me what I need to do next? Here's what I've done so far:x^2 + (x+2)^2 = (2x-2)^2x^2+x^2+4+4x = 4x^2 +4 -8x2x^2+4+4x = 4x^2+4-8x (-4x^2)-2x^2+4+4x = 4-8x (-4)-2x^2+4x = -8x (+8x)-2x^2+12x = 0now what?!?!Thank you so much in advance - if you need any more info. then just e-mail.
