Help with motherboard?

My motherboard broke and i need a new one i got a am2 socket amd 5200x2 and 667 ddr2 ram says on this mother board that you need 800 ddr2 will my 667 work or do i need to buy new ram

800Mhz RAM is the maximum. Your 667Mhz RAM will work, but only at 667Mhz, unless you over clock it.

800 is just the standard;  that means it supports up to that speed, and by nature can support anything slower.
