My motherboard broke and i need a new one i got a am2 socket amd 5200x2 and 667 ddr2 ram says on this mother board that you need 800 ddr2 will my 667 work or do i need to buy new ram

  1. 800Mhz RAM is the maximum. Your 667Mhz RAM will work, but only at 667Mhz, unless you over clock it.


  2. 800 is just the standard;  that means it supports up to that speed, and by nature can support anything slower.
