I have a China visa thats good for 1 year. The duration stay is no more than consecutive 60 days. I want to know IFim in china say for 30 days, meaning i have 30 more days to say before i hit my 60 days duration stay......IF I go to Hong Kong for 2 days. Will that restart my 60 days over. Or is Hong Kong still look at as mainland china. my problem is i want to stay in china for about 6 months. can i cross over into H.K and then come back to china will that restart the 60 day duration. thanks

  1. No   HK is not Mailand China.  You can  go  there  via shenzhen.  I have done th is  many  times.  I  do  not  even  stay  in hk  1  hour. I simply go  to the  first stop on the  train  in  hk.  20 hk dollars and  return  to  Shenzhen  20  hk dollars.   My passport is stamped and i am  good for  another 120  days.  I have  a L visa marked M.   try china southern website if you need  a  flight  to  shenazhen.  they have  super low airfares if booked in  advance.

The  hotels in shenzhen are less expensive  than in hk so  better  not  to stay  2  days there.  there  is no need.

  2. If it is multiple entry visa, then sure.  Why not?  Hong Kong is not considered mainland China.  You have 60 days each entry, valid for one year it seems.  But you should have a "M" on the visa type to be 100% sure.
